KRÖMM design is a small, family-owned fine woodworking studio nestled in Montréal, Canada. We make custom hardwood furniture entirely by hand — one piece at a time, for one family at a time.

Our Story

KRÖMM began the way most meaningful things do: out of a deep love for the craft and a desire to create something that truly lasts. As a family, we've always believed that the objects we surround ourselves with should be made with intention — not mass-produced, not disposable, but built to be passed down.

What started as a passion for working with wood grew into a studio where every piece we make carries our name, our hands, and our values. We're not a factory. We're a family who takes enormous pride in what we build.

Our Workshop & Process

Everything happens in our Montréal workshop. From the first sketch to the final coat of finish, each piece is shaped, joined, and refined by hand. We take our time — because good furniture deserves it.

We work exclusively with solid hardwoods: walnut, cherry, and maple, sourced for their beauty, durability, and character. No MDF. No formaldehyde. No shortcuts. Every board is selected by hand, and every joint is cut to fit precisely.

We finish our pieces with natural oils that protect the wood while letting its grain and warmth shine through. The result is furniture that feels alive — and only gets more beautiful with age.

Made to Order, Made for You

We don't keep a warehouse of ready-made pieces. Every item we make is built to order, which means it's made specifically for you and your home. This also means we can customize dimensions, wood species, and details to suit your space and your vision.

Because each piece is crafted by hand from start to finish, our typical lead time is 3–5 weeks. We know that's longer than clicking "add to cart" and getting a box on your doorstep in two days — but we think the wait is worth it. You're not buying furniture. You're commissioning a piece that will outlast trends, apartments, and decades.
